Threaded Electromagnetic Flowmeter
Compact precision for small-diameter conductive flow measurement
Approved by:CE, SIL-3, ATEX Explosion-proof certification
Engineered for small-diameter pipelines and limited installation spaces, the threaded electromagnetic flowmeter delivers high accuracy, stable performance, and maintenance-free operation for conductive liquids.
Its compact structure and durable materials make it ideal for industrial dosing, cooling systems, water treatment, and chemical process control applications.
The threaded electromagnetic flowmeter operates on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, measuring the voltage induced as a conductive fluid passes through a magnetic field.
With no moving parts and a full-bore flow path, it provides accurate, repeatable flow measurement without pressure loss — even in systems where vibration, limited space, or low flow rates make traditional meters unsuitable.
-
High Accuracy: Delivers a standard accuracy of ±0.5% for precise fluid management.
-
Obstructionless Design: With no moving parts or obstacles in the measuring pipe, there is no pressure loss, making it ideal for systems where pressure maintenance is critical.
-
Independent Measurement: Performance is unaffected by variations in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, or conductivity.
-
Durable and Versatile: A wide selection of chemically resistant lining and electrode materials allows for measurement of various conductive liquids, including corrosive media.
-
Bi-Directional Measurement: The system is equipped with three internal totalizers to accurately measure positive total, negative total, and the total difference in flow.

- Installation:
To ensure optimal accuracy, the flowmeter should be installed in a location where the pipe remains full of liquid. It is recommended to allow for a straight pipe section of at least 10 times the pipe diameter (10D) upstream and 5 times the pipe diameter (5D) downstream from the meter.[7] The threaded connection design facilitates simple and secure installation into the pipeline.[1] The electrode axis should be kept approximately horizontal to ensure measurement accuracy. - Maintenance:
Thanks to its design with no moving parts, the Threaded Connection Electromagnetic Flowmeter requires minimal maintenance. The robust materials and construction ensure a long service life even in demanding environments. AFT Instrument provides comprehensive after-sales support and technical assistance to ensure reliable, long-term operation.
-
Measuring aggressive chemicals that degrade standard meters: Our flowmeter’s robust construction, featuring inert PFA liners and corrosion-proof Hastelloy or Titanium electrodes, guarantees measurement integrity and an extended service life in the most demanding chemical environments.
-
Achieving precise control in automated dosing or batching: With a ±0.5% accuracy, bi-directional measurement, and multiple industrial outputs (4-20mA, Modbus), our flowmeter integrates seamlessly into your control system (PLC/DCS) for reliable, repeatable, and automated process control.
-
Avoiding pressure loss that impacts system efficiency: The meter’s full-bore, obstructionless design eliminates the energy waste and pressure drop inherent to intrusive meters. It is the ideal choice for optimizing performance in gravity-fed lines and energy-sensitive pumping applications.
-
Installing industrial-grade meters in tight spaces: Specifically designed for smaller pipelines (DN6-DN100), this meter’s compact size and convenient threaded connections provide a high-performance measurement solution where larger, flanged meters are impractical.
