About AFT Instruments

AFT’s history is not the tale of a rapid rise. It is, instead, the story of two engineers — Mr. Xu Beichen and Ms. Xie Chengshan—who shared a belief that precise measurement serves as one of the quiet foundations of an orderly world. Their work together in fluid measurement shaped both their careers and their marriage, and in 2009 they chose to build a company that reflected that belief.

They didn’t pursue size or speed. Instead, they built AFT as a family business—one where focus, honesty, and craftsmanship came before expansion. From day one, the goal was clear: create a company driven by technical rigor, not commercial urgency, and surround themselves with people who shared the same values.

Those people arrived quickly. Long-time friends—engineers, specialists, manufacturing experts—joined not because of opportunity, but because they wanted to build something meaningful. Their knowledge shaped the early architecture of our R&D and manufacturing operations, and many of them are still here, working shoulder to shoulder, treating precision as a responsibility rather than a trait.
