-
High-frequency 26 GHz radar
Concentrated beam angle cuts through vapor, dust, and tank obstructions—ensuring stable signals and reliable readings. -
True non-contact measurement
No moving parts and no contact with the medium means less maintenance, no corrosion risk, and long-term measurement stability. -
Multiple antenna designs for every application
Rod, cone, horn, and PTFE-shielded antennas support corrosive liquids, high-viscosity media, powders, and bulk solids. -
Short blind zone
Ideal for small storage tanks and applications requiring high accuracy near the upper range. -
Wide measurement range
From compact 10-meter vessels to tall silos up to 80 m, one platform covers nearly all level measurement needs. -
Advanced echo processing
Smart signal interpretation separates real echoes from noise—improving reliability in dust, foam, and turbulence. -
Built for harsh process conditions
Options support high temperatures, high pressure, heavy dust, condensation, and corrosive atmospheres. -
Flexible installation options
Threaded or flanged connections available; fits metal or non-metal tanks without modifications. -
Universal communication compatibility
Standard 4–20 mA, HART, and Modbus outputs integrate easily with existing control systems and PLC/DCS networks. -
Explosion-proof and high-protection housing
Certified models allow safe use in hazardous or classified areas with gas, vapor, or dust.
To ensure optimal performance, the flowmeter must be installed correctly. Key considerations include:
-
Location: Install away from strong electromagnetic fields, severe vibrations, and extreme temperature fluctuations. Ensure the pipeline remains full of the measured liquid.
-
Straight Pipe Requirements: For accurate readings, a straight pipe length of at least 10 times the pipe diameter (10D) is required upstream of the flowmeter, and at least 5 times the pipe diameter (5D) downstream.
-
Mounting Base: The mounting base must be welded perpendicular to the measured pipeline. Ensure the hole size in the pipeline matches the outer diameter of the through-hole on the mounting base.
-
Insertion Depth:
-
For pipes with a diameter (D) ≤ 400mm, the insertion depth (E) is calculated as: E = H – 0.5D (where H is the distance from the transducer electrode to the directional indicating arm).
-
For pipes with a diameter (D) > 400mm, the insertion depth is calculated as: E = H – 0.121D.
-
-
Grounding: Proper grounding is critical to prevent electrical interference. The ground terminal must be connected to the measured medium. The resistance should be less than 10Ω.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
-
Routine Maintenance: The transducer generally does not require scheduled maintenance. However, for media prone to causing scaling or buildup, periodic cleaning of the electrode and measuring head is necessary to maintain accuracy.
-
Troubleshooting: A troubleshooting guide is provided in the instruction manual to diagnose common issues such as negative flow readings, overrange output, or signal fluctuations. For complex issues, please contact our technical support. Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Always switch off the ball valve before dismounting the transducer.
The plug-in electromagnetic flowmeter is ideally suited for large-diameter, low-to-medium pressure pipelines requiring reliable conductive liquid flow monitoring.
