Our Electromagnetic Open Channel Flowmeter is an engineered system designed to measure flow in partially filled pipes, culverts, and open channels. By utilizing the proven flow velocity area method, the system integrates a flow velocity meter, a liquid level sensor, and a powerful flow display to provide a comprehensive measurement solution.

It is the ideal instrument for monitoring rectangular and trapezoidal channels found in reservoirs, rivers, water conservancy projects, urban water supply, sewage treatment, and farmland irrigation. Delivering accurate, stable, and maintenance-free flow monitoring for irrigation canals, wastewater discharge, and environmental flow control — even in unpressurized or partially filled channels.

  • Installation: It is a split-type system. The robust IP68-rated flow and level sensors are installed directly in the channel, while the IP65-rated host display unit can be mounted in a convenient, accessible location. The units are connected via a shielded communication cable. Refer to the instruction manual for detailed guidelines on sensor placement and mounting.

  • Maintenance: Thanks to its non-contact measurement principle and durable construction, the open channel flowmeter requires minimal maintenance. Periodic inspection for debris or damage to the sensors is recommended to ensure continued accuracy.
