Slurry Electromagnetic Flowmeter
Built for Abrasive and High-Solid Media
Approved by:CE, SIL-3, ATEX Explosion-proof certification
HBLD/G Slurry-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeter is a specialized variant of the electromagnetic flowmeter designed specifically to measure the flow rate of liquids containing high concentrations of suspended solids or abrasive particles — such as mineral slurries, pulp, ore concentrate, sewage, cement slurry, or drilling mud. the slurry concentration mass ratio can reach 40%, and the usual variation range is less than 5%.
Our slurry-type electromagnetic flowmeter is a ruggedized, intelligent instrument where every key component—liner, electrodes, and electronics—has been enhanced. By utilizing an advanced high-frequency or dual-frequency excitation mode, the HBLD/G Series effectively overcomes the signal noise generated by solid particles, ensuring stable, accurate, and repeatable flow data where standard magmeters fail.
-
Optimized for High-Concentration Media: The flowmeter is specifically designed to maintain accuracy and sensitivity in high-concentration media. It reliably measures slurries with a concentration range of 5% to 60% and can handle a slurry concentration mass ratio of up to 40%, with a typical variation range of less than 5%
- Superior Signal Stability: The high-frequency converter and dual-frequency excitation cut through the electrical noise caused by particle impacts on the electrodes. This results in a smooth, trustworthy output signal, even in dense slurries.
- Maximum Abrasion Resistance: The combination of a tough Polyurethane liner and ultra-hard Stainless Steel electrodes covered with Tungsten Carbide provides exceptional resistance to the constant abrasive wear from sand, rock, and other solids.
- Obstructionless, Zero-Maintenance Design: True to the principle of electromagnetic flow measurement, the measuring tube has no internal obstructions or moving parts. This completely eliminates pressure loss and removes any risk of clogging or jamming, making it particularly suitable for fibrous materials like pulp or coarse slurries. This design requires minimal maintenance over its operational lifetime.
- Self-Diagnostic & Empty Pipe Detection: Continuous system monitoring ensures process safety and maintenance predictability.
